Discover Warsaw!

Soon you are going to spend time in a lovely capital of Poland! We would like to provide you with the short insights to Warsaw cultural and foodie side.

Once you are in Warsaw you cannot miss the beautiful Old Town inscribed to the UNESCO list in 1980. There you can find the Royal Castle and Sigismund’s Column – the statue of Polish king who ruled the country starting in the late XVI century. Also a great spot for catching wifi while admiring the panoramic view of Vistula River and National Stadium, don’t forget to put a picture on instagram! Once the post is done, go further into the Old Town, find the Mermaid of Warsaw fountain, seat in Zapiecek or Bazyliszek restaurant and order typical Polish dumplings ‘pierogi’. For meat lovers, we highly recommend tatar in Bazyliszek, originally served with a shot of vodka. Na zdrowie!

If you want to have a nice walk, we suggest the newly-renovated Vistula River Boulevards. They are located on the West side of the river, near the Copernicus Science Centre. It is a perfect spot to enjoy the sunny weather. Wide cycling paths and running track are waiting for the sport freaks. It is also one of a very few spots when you are allowed to drink alcohol outdoors. So, grab a bottle of craft Polish beer, enjoy the sun and if you menahile get hungry try delicious pizza at Boscaiola restaurant located at the University of Warsaw Library.

Do you prefer less water more nature? Take a walk at Łazienki Park and see the Palace on the Isle – the summer residence of the last king of Poland, Stanisław August. Going through the charming avenues do not forget to buy ice cream or have a bite of a fresh waffle near the Palace, the long queue will lead you there.

Once you find yourself in the city centre, do not miss your chance to take a look at the Warsaw landmark – The Palace of Culture and Science. In May, the view point on 30th floor is opened till 23.30, it is a fantastic place for the warm nights. From there, take the direction towards Kufle i Kapsle or other neighbouring multitap pubs that offer the widest range of beers or visit always busy bar – Cuda na Kiju located in the former headquarters of the communist party, taste their beer or prosecco, in case you are more cocktail-oriented, enter the neighbouring cocktail bar – Zamieszanie.

Attention all foodie lovers! You are lucky! In the period of the conference the Night Market has its opening. It is a food truck spot offering various cuisine from the well known Warsaw restaurants. The location of the Market is quite unique – the former Train Station, each summer turns into energetic place serving tasty food, drinks and music.
